Public involvement

Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) is at the heart of PRIME Centre Wales research. All projects are supported by dedicated members of the public, and the Centre has its overarching PPI group.

The PPI Group works closely with PRIME Centre Wales, bringing valuable lay perspectives to the development, delivery and sharing of research in primary and emergency care. By involving members of the public throughout the research journey, the group helps ensure that PRIME’s work is relevant, high quality and meaningful to the people it aims to serve.

The group offers constructive input at every stage of research development—from shaping early ideas and reviewing draft documents to advising on dissemination plans and effective approaches to involving patients and the public in funded studies. If you are a PRIME researcher with a new idea or proposal in development, the PPI Group is here to support you by strengthening patient and public involvement in your project.
